Children’s Birthday Parties<\/h1>\n

Looking for a birthday party your child will never forget? Welcome to Foxglove Meadows, where magical animal encounters turn birthdays into truly special celebrations.<\/p>\n

Our parties offer children the chance to meet, learn about, and gently handle a wonderful variety of friendly animals, all in a safe, supervised, and fun environment. From soft and cuddly favourites to fascinating exotic friends, every party is designed to spark curiosity, confidence, and huge smiles.<\/p>\n

Led by experienced, fully insured animal handlers, children will enjoy hands-on animal experiences, fun facts, and interactive activities tailored to the age of the group. We pride ourselves on creating a calm, positive atmosphere where animals are respected and children feel confident and excited to take part.<\/p>\n

For a Birthday party we recommend an absolute maximum of 30 children, however around 20 children or less works better. The more children that attend, the less time each child has for interaction and the more chaotic the event can become. The Birthday boy or girl is called upon to be our Birthday Animal Star and will help us run the party and help us with the animals. <\/span>Our sessions last between 45 and 50 minutes and you get to choose 4-5 animals to attend the party*. Minimum age is four years old and attendees must be able to understand and follow instructions and require adult supervision at all times. Animal Parties start at \u00a3220 with optional add ons.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

School Visits<\/h1>

At Foxglove Meadows, we bring learning to life through unforgettable, hands-on animal experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence, and deeper understanding.<\/p>

Our school sessions are carefully designed to support and reinforce the National Curriculum, transforming classroom learning into real-world, sensory experiences. By meeting animals up close, pupils don\u2019t just learn about them \u2014 they see, touch, observe, and engage, strengthening knowledge through meaningful, practical interaction.<\/p>

We provide age-appropriate, engaging sessions that link directly to key topics including:<\/p>

  • Habitats and environments<\/p><\/li>

  • Life cycles<\/p><\/li>

  • Adaptation and survival<\/p><\/li>

  • Food chains and classification<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    We run 3 different workshops whereby we deliver the above information with emphasis on different key points.<\/p>

    Around the World Safari –<\/strong> travel our giant globe with me making stops to meet animals along the way. This workshop ties in science, geography and PSHE elements of the National Curriculum.<\/p>

    Habitat Heroes – <\/strong>In this workshop children learn about conservation and habitats. We meet animals and talk about little changes we can make to help preserve habitats for the future. Key elements of the National Curriculum include Science and PSHE.<\/p>

    Hibernation Helpers –\u00a0<\/strong>This workshop focuses on hibernation and we meet and talk about our hibernating animals. For the Second part of the session we discuss making hedgehog houses to help protect British hedgehogs as they try to find somewhere safe to hibernate for the Winter. We provide recycled and repurposed materials key to constructing a hedgehog house, we discuss this and then leave the materials, along with instructions, for the class to make after our departure. In this workshop we cover Science, PSHE and D&T topics within the National Curriculum.\u00a0<\/p>

    Children are encouraged to ask questions, make observations, and take part in guided handling experiences that build understanding, empathy, and respect for animals. These tactile and sensory opportunities are especially valuable for learners who benefit from kinaesthetic learning, SEND-inclusive approaches, and real-life context.<\/p>

    Our sessions support teachers by bringing learning objectives off the page and into practice.<\/p>

    We provide all schools with a teacher pack which includes handouts, worksheets and resources for after our visit.<\/p>

    Care Home & Elderly Visits<\/h1>

    Foxglove Meadows brings the joy of animals directly into care homes and dementia settings, creating calm, meaningful moments that truly make a difference.<\/p>

    Our gentle, calm animal visits provide comfort, connection, and stimulation, helping residents relax, reminisce, and engage in the moment. From the soft touch of a lop-eared rabbit to the quiet companionship animals naturally offer, our sessions are designed to support emotional wellbeing, sensory engagement, and social interaction.<\/p>

      Animal Assisted Intervention<\/h1>

      Every child learns differently.<\/p>

      For some children, traditional classroom interventions simply aren’t enough. They need a different environment, a different approach and a different way to engage.<\/p>

      At\u00a0Foxglove Meadows<\/strong>, our\u00a0Animal Assisted Interventions<\/strong>\u00a0harness the unique connection between children and animals to support emotional wellbeing, confidence, communication and personal development.<\/p>

      Working alongside our carefully selected animals, children are encouraged to explore, communicate and build positive relationships in a calm, safe and nurturing environment. Without judgement or pressure, our animals help children develop the confidence to take on new challenges, regulate emotions and discover strengths they may not have realised they possessed.<\/p>

      Our interventions are particularly beneficial for children with ASC, ADHD, SEMH needs, SEND support, Anxiety, Low confidence and self-esteem, emotional regulation needs, Communication and interaction difficulties.\u00a0<\/p>

      Every programme is tailored to the individual child, allowing activities to progress at a pace that suits their confidence, interests and developmental needs.<\/p>

      Nature & Nurture Programme<\/h4>

      A structured small-group intervention using our friendly animals to develop confidence, emotional wellbeing, empathy, communication and resilience through meaningful hands-on experiences.<\/p>

      Bucket Time<\/h4>

      Inspired by the Attention Autism approach, our bespoke Bucket Time sessions use real animals to capture attention, encourage engagement and develop communication in a highly motivating sensory environment.<\/p>

      The Discovery Programme<\/h4>

      An outdoor equine-assisted intervention where children work alongside our gentle pony and donkey, developing confidence, responsibility, emotional regulation and self-belief through grooming, feeding, leading and caring for the animals.<\/p>
