1. Booking & Payment

All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once agreed in writing.
Full payment must be made no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled visit unless otherwise agreed in advance. Failure to make payment within this timeframe may result in the session being cancelled.

2. Staffing & Supervision

Foxglove Meadows sessions are delivered as an educational experience and remain the responsibility of the school at all times.
It is expected that teachers and teaching assistants are present throughout the session to support learning, manage behaviour, and ensure children follow instructions given by the session leader. Foxglove Meadows staff are not responsible for behaviour management.

3. Animal Welfare & Safety

The safety and welfare of our animals is paramount. All animals attending sessions are well handled, regularly assessed, and carefully selected for educational visits.

Clear handling and behaviour instructions will be given at the start of each session and must be followed at all times. If a child repeatedly handles an animal incorrectly, behaves in a way that causes distress, or endangers an animal despite warnings, Foxglove Meadows reserves the right to stop that child’s participation.

In the event that unsafe behaviour continues and animal welfare is at risk, Foxglove Meadows reserves the right to terminate the session early. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.

4. Risk & Handling

While every reasonable precaution is taken, animals are living beings and there remains a small risk of scratching, nipping, or defensive behaviour, particularly if animals are handled incorrectly or instructions are not followed.
By booking a session, the school acknowledges and accepts this risk and agrees that Foxglove Meadows cannot be held liable for incidents resulting from failure to follow guidance or instructions.

5. Health & Allergies

Schools are responsible for identifying any relevant allergies, medical needs, or phobias among pupils and staff and must inform Foxglove Meadows in advance where appropriate. Reasonable adjustments will be made wherever possible.

6. Space & Environment

The school must provide a suitable indoor space for the session, free from excessive noise and disruption, with adequate room for children to sit safely and for animals to be handled appropriately.

7. Cancellation by the School

Cancellations must be made as early as possible. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session may still be chargeable at full cost, except in exceptional circumstances at Foxglove Meadows’ discretion.

8. Cancellation by Foxglove Meadows

Foxglove Meadows reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to unforeseen circumstances, including animal welfare concerns, illness, or events beyond our control. In such cases, an alternative date or refund will be offered.

9. Acceptance of Terms

By confirming a booking, the school agrees to these Terms & Conditions in full.
