Today we had an amazing, engaging and educational visit from Foxglove Meadows. From the moment it began, the children were immersed in a ‘Safari’ around the world, discovering a variety of fascinating animals and finding out interesting facts about them. A wide range of animals captivated the children’s attention and sparked their curiosity to find out more about them. The children thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to interact with the animals, and the team from Foxglove Meadows supported and encouraged every child throughout the session. Katie carefully coordinated the experience, making clear links to the Year 1 Science and Geography curriculum objectives and challenging the children to use and apply a wide range of ambitious vocabulary. Thank you, Foxglove Meadows, for such a memorable and inspiring experience!

An excellent company who entrapped our young people all afternoon with their animals and knowledge. Katie was brilliant to work with- making the booking process as smooth as possible, checking what we needed and being punctual. She was patient and caring and was able to answer a wide range of questions. For students who have a relatively short attention span, it was fabulous to see such an amazing engagement in the session. We recently welcomed Foxglove Meadows to our school, and the visit was outstanding from start to finish. The team were professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable, engaging all of the children with a range of fascinating animals. The presentation was interactive, educational, and tailored perfectly to the age groups attending (reception and year 1.) The children were captivated throughout and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to see and learn about the animals up close. The handlers demonstrated excellent animal welfare practices and answered questions with enthusiasm and expertise. Organisation and communication before the visit were excellent, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free for staff. The visit supported our curriculum wonderfully and created lasting memories for both pupils and teachers. Today at our Specialist Resource Provision, we had a very special Bucket Time session led by Katie from Foxglove Meadows. Five children took part, and they were all incredibly excited when they discovered that Katie’s “bucket” contained real animals that they could interact with and stroke. The children remained fully engaged throughout the session as Katie revealed each animal one by one. They sat patiently, eagerly awaiting their turn to observe and gently handle the different animals. Katie brought along a wonderful variety of animals, many of which the children had never seen before, including a rabbit, a guinea pig, a bearded dragon and a pygmy hedgehog. Katie’s calm tone, excellent pacing and warm interactions with the children were perfectly suited to the group and helped maintain their attention throughout. It was fantastic to see the children’s faces light up as each animal was introduced. They especially enjoyed the opportunity to stroke and interact with the animals, and they continued talking about the experience for the rest of the day. We would highly recommend Katie’s Bucket Time sessions for small groups of children. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and it provided a memorable and engaging learning opportunity for everyone involved.
